Montessori School in Fremont, CA - 39600 Mission Boulevard
More than basic child care. Mission Valley Montessori plants the seeds for a lifetime of learning for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners.
Give your child the advantage of a lifelong love for learning by enrolling them in a Montessori school. Certified Montessori teachers will oversee your child as they immerse themselves in hands-on experience. Your child will decide how they approach the curriculum, with minimal intervention from teachers.
“The essential thing is to arouse such an interest that it engages the child’s whole personality.”
- Dr. Maria Montessori PhD.
The Montessori method allows children to work and learn at their own pace.
Each child develops their own capacities in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Children of varying ages work together in the same classroom, stimulating both academic and social growth.
Montessori strives to develop each child’s potential through a "prepared environment."
Certified Montessori teachers prepare the classroom each day to encourage hands-on learning. Through the day, they observe the children, direct activities when outside assistance is necessary, and offer work according to the readiness of each child.
Though much has been said about the academic achievements of Montessori children, the main value of the educational method lies in the self-discipline, self-motivation, independence, and love of learning that the children achieve.
Mission Valley Montessori is accepting new enrollment.

The Montessori History
In September 1974, Montessori teachers Cynthia Leahy and Naseem Meer held the first Montessori preschool class. It was held in a rented classroom at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fremont, CA.
What started in a single classroom has grown to eight locations throughout the East Bay. Our schools have overseen the education of over 5,000 children. We employ over 100 people and care for over 500 students.
The children in this photo of a Montessori classroom are now in their forties. They include a physician, two attorneys, six engineers, a real estate executive, and a college professor.
Today, Montessori schools continue to set children up for a lifetime of success.
